DIGIPIN Finder - Official India Post Digital Postal Index Number Utility
Welcome to DIGIPIN Finder (https://digipinfinder.online), the free, open-source, 100% offline geospatial digital addressing generator and decoder for India. DIGIPIN is the national digital address system established by the Department of Posts (DoP), Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
Instant GPS to 10-Character DIGIPIN Encoding
DIGIPIN converts precise GPS latitude and longitude coordinates across India into a standardized 10-character alphanumeric code (e.g., 234-567-89CF). Each DIGIPIN divides the Indian geographical bounding box (Latitude: 2.5° N to 38.5° N, Longitude: 66.5° E to 100.0° E) into a hierarchical 4x4 recursive grid system.
Doorstep Precision of 4 Meters by 4 Meters
At Level 10, the DIGIPIN achieves an exact spatial footprint of approximately 3.8 meters by 3.8 meters. This enables doorstep delivery, emergency dispatch, municipal routing, and drone logistics without reliance on ambiguous text addresses or proprietary geocoding APIs.
100% On-Device Offline Calculation & Absolute Privacy
DIGIPIN Finder performs all mathematical grid calculations locally in client-side WebAssembly / Dart CPU memory. Your device's GPS coordinates are never uploaded to remote servers, logged to analytics platforms, or shared with third parties. The tool functions seamlessly without an active internet connection as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
Unambiguous Alphanumeric Alphabet
The official DIGIPIN character set consists of 16 distinct symbols: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, C, F, G, H, J, M, P, R. All vowels (A, E, I, O, U) and visually similar characters (0, 1, 8/B, S, D, K, L, N, Q, T, V, W, X, Y, Z) are systematically excluded to prevent transcription mistakes, audio ambiguity, and OCR confusion.
